Arrest made for “gay-free zone” stickers in London

You might remember a story from February where “gay free zone” stickers started popping up around Whitechapel, London. The stickers even inspired a march, that ended up getting canceled.

Well 18 year-old Mohammed Hasnath, of Leamouth, Tower Hamlets was arrested last month and is being charged under section 5 of the Public Order Act, for causing harassment, alarm or distress. He’s currently out on bail but will appear at the City of Westmister magistrates’ court Wednesday June 1st.

Here’s to hoping for justice to be served!

East London Gay Pride March Cancelled!

The East London Gay Pride has been cancelled a march scheduled for April 2nd because of allegations that organizer Raymond Berry has ties with the English Defense League.

For those who don’t know, the ELD are a group of people that oppose and protest against the spread of Islam in the UK, claiming they don’t want Muslim extremism in their country. Continue reading
