Check out this cool event, starring QL’s favorite Trans comedian and mommy, Natasha Muse! No cover and easy access to BART. Just buy a drink…
I first caught Natasha’s stand up at a comedy show a year ago in the Mission district. She was “not bad for a tranny” last summer and she was nothing less than stellar last night at Straight Up Gay Comedy. She has a sweet spirit and she’s an awesome blogger too. We’re honored to have her a part the Queer Landia team! You rock Natasha!
Straight Up Gay Comedy at The Purple Onion was definitely a good time. Produced by TJ Kelsall and Emily Van Dyke, they had comics representing every orientation you could think of, from one straight guy (bless his heart) to our very own transsexual lesbian Natasha Muse, with everything in-between.
It was a full house with a great heckler-free crowd. The fabulous Pippi Lovestocking was the Hostess for the evening, and did a great job opening, loosening the crowd up with some great bouts of laughter. The show kept the good vibe the whole evening. The lesbian representation was Sharon Brizer, she had some really good jokes but she was a little hard to hear. Emily Van Dyke was the bisexual of the group, and brought some funny insight on what it’s like to date both guys and girls.
Well these comedians do! It was a great show and a packed house last night at Straight Up Gay Comedy at the Purple Onion in North Beach. Comedian TJ Kelsall co-promoted and co-produced the show and Ms. Pippi Livestocking hosted. It was by far the funniest gay comedy show I’ve been to in the City and I laughed my ass off. Another comedian off note was Natasha Muse, one of our resident bloggers here at Queer Landia! Believe me she wasn’t bad…for a tranny! Lol. Nate will be posting the official blog later today and I have more photos I’ll be adding from the night too so check back soon! :-)
It’s at the Purple Onion and there is still 3 hours before show time! Tickets are less than $10 and I know there are going to be some funny peeps in the house so come check it out if you’re looking for something cool to do in San Francisco tonight!
