Well, Facebook might be hatin’ on drag queens, but San Jose and the Billy deFrank gay and lesbian center sure isn’t. They are hosting a drag queen bingo every Wednesday night at the Center. This event started back in April and has continued every week since then.
Hardly a day goes by anymore, that a positive LBGT story, article or report doesn’t get presented by some form of the media, and to think, it hasn’t been that long ago, when all I seemed to hear or read was either negative or heartbreaking. That said, I’m not saying they no longer exist, I’m just saying, I get a mental uplift more often than I used to, as is the case for the recently held 2014 San Francisco Pride Event, where Silicon Valley connects with Pride…
I just wanted to say that this time of year, I miss the “cut-offs” that we used to wear in the 70’s and 80’s, but according to Facebook this photo “contains nudity or is sexually explicit” and now I’m blocked for 7 days – oh well, not much I can do about it – might be a “heads up” for others
Like most local news outlets, Visalia California’s local newspaper, the Visalia Times Delta, has a Facebook account. They post blurbs about various stories in the paper through Facebook’s “share” feature. Today an article about a local high school wrestler caught some folks off guard.
