‘Little Bitch Otter’ beer for a better Idaho!


In an obvious stab at Idaho’s Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter [yes, last name is Otter], Crooked Fence Brewing recently announced the release of Little Bitch Otter, their India Brown Ale.

The otter wears a tie and cowboy hat, as Gov. “Butch” Otter is prone to do. On Tuesday, a state judge struck down Idaho’s ban on same-sex marriage, but Gov. Otter filed a request to stay to the ruling and began the appeals process.

Demi Lovato will be at LA and NYC Pride!

It’s great to have the support of powerhouse artists like Cher and Demi Lovato (though  she isn’t nearly on Cher’s level!)! Demi Lovato will be giving performances at LA Pride and NYC Pride this summer!  More on that in a press release from NYC Pride below.




NEW YORK, NY | LOS ANGELES, CA – In honor of the 45th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, two of the largest Pride events in the world— LA PRIDE and NYC PRIDE—have joined forces to announce the participation of one of the biggest names in Hollywood in this year’s LGBT Pride celebrations, Demi Lovato. On June 8th, the multi-platinum selling recording artist will join the LA PRIDE Parade as Grand Marshal and her participation will include a special performance. On June 29, Lovato will head east to headline perform at NYC Pride’s legendary Dance on the Pier on Pier 26 in Tribeca.

NYC Pride announces official launch of “the trans experience”

“the trans Experience”

New York, January 7, 2014—NYC Pride announced the official launch of the trans Experience (ttE), the mission of which is to provide aid to other nonprofit organizations and agencies within New York City in coordinating, facilitating, organizing, managing and promoting linkages to and for members of the transgender community. This mission will be achieved by producing programming designed for members of the transgender community by members of the transgender community. Programming is meant to educate, empower, and bridge the gap between transgender individuals and the communities of which they are a part.

NYC Pride announces 2014 Pride theme, “We Have Won When We’re One”

New York, January 7, 2014—NYC Pride announced the official theme for Pride 2014: “We have won when we’re one.” Additionally, NYC Pride released official theme artwork and brand elements for the coming year’s celebrations. The 2014 theme is a reminder that inequality still exists both at home and abroad. Our work is unfinished until all members of the LGBT community, in all parts of the world, can enjoy the freedoms and protections they rightfully deserve. Bearing this theme in mind, NYC Pride will host its annual calendar of events in June, commemorating the 45th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots.
