Something that got lost in the shuffle and the white hot media glare that was Ray Rice was Michael Sam. He was picked up as a practice squad player several weeks ago by the Dallas Cowboys but was cut last week. Some tried to attach some conspiracy to it because he is openly gay but it seems to really have been purely a football decision.
Sometimes you have to just put a block of cheese on your head…and dance. This was the scene at Casa de Packers last Sunday as the Green Bay Packers pulled even at 2-2 with a big victory over the Chicago Bears…
Football season is kicking into high gear with Week 1 nearly over. If you’re Packer and Cowboy fans like Mike and I, we know your pain. However! With the new football season comes new commercials, like this one from DirecTV featuring a gay couple.

Michael Sam was officially signed to the practice squad for the Dallas Cowboys today. This was a great move for Sam and an even better move for the Cowboys. I wished we would have just snagged him off waivers over the weekend but it seems to be working out anyway. You can watch the video of Coach Jason Garrett announcing the move that posted less than an hour ago on the Dallas Cowboys website.
I had trouble loading this pic for some reason the other day when I posted my original blog about Mr. Beasley. I came across it again today and I wanted to share it. Yes, I’ll admit it, I’d do him if he asked me…nicely.
So the Cowboys eked passed the Eagles last night in Sunday Night Football to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. They scored more points than they have in a while and looked sharper offensively with the return of their starting running back. Still, they will have to play a hell of a lot better if they have any chance of a late season run to try to steal the division. Winning the NFC East will be their only real hope because I don’t they’ll have enough wins at the end of the season to earn a wild card spot. We could also use some Monday Night Football help from the Redskins tonight if they can knock off the Giants at home. All that being said what I really want to talk about is rookie wide receiver Cole Beasley who I am officially naming the new resident hottie in Big D!
I’m still recovering from last night’s debacle in Dallas. So for now, I submit this spot-on article about under-achieving wanna-be Cowboy receiver Dez Bryant. Romo was erratic and the entire offense was out of sync. Stay tuned all you gay sports fans: My MNF sports commentary is coming. In the meantime, check out this article from USA Today…
Despite 100-yard game, Cowboys wide receiver doesn’t make the plays elite players do: http://usat.ly/OBF68e
