This is only reinforcing the mainstream conception of what LGBT/Q rights are/should be. Remember not all of queers give a fuck about marriage. The same bachelorettes that are being turned away from the club are on the same social, cultural level as the normative men and women that are trying to get married.

yeah, marriage is thrown in our face everyday, it’s also thrown in the faces of many heterosexual people that are not part of what the “ideal” (single moms, single dads, singles in general, poly-couples/groups, etc.)
