MSNBC host Martin Bashir gives Sarah Palin what she has coming, and apologizes

Last Friday MSNBC host Martin Bashir spoke a harsh truth about Sarah Palin in response to her remarks comparing the national debt to slavery. It’s well-known Sara Palin is just one small thump to the head from being institutionalized, and Bashir took the bait. Bashir said she could never understand the atrocities of slavery without experiencing them herself, and went on to reference a slave owner who made his slaves literally eat shit as a punishment.

Now with┬áTeabagistan┬áheadlines like “Martin Bashir Said Someone Should Sh*t in Sara Palin’s Mouth” causing quite a fuss, he has issued an apology.

“Last Friday, on this broadcast, I made some comments which were deeply offensive and directed at Governor Sarah Palin. I wanted to take this opportunity to say sorry to Mrs. Palin and to also offer an unreserved apology to her friends and family, her supporters, our viewers, and anyone who may have heard what I said. My words were wholly unacceptable. They were neither accurate, nor fair. They were unworthy of anyone who would claim to have an interest in politics.”

Well, I wouldn’t go so far as to say inaccurate, however it is unfair to pick on those below you. You can watch Bashir’s full apology below.

  1. By not condemning this gross insult you give up the right to whine and be outraged when somebody says the same about you or somebody you love. Garbage is garbage no matter who says it or who is the target. Stay classy queers!
