Macklemore & Ryan Lewis join the You Can Play Project

I became a big fan of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis after they released their song Same Love, including the struggles of the LGBT community and hip hop in one powerful video. Now after being the only unsigned artist to top the charts, Macklemore has joined the You Can Play Project.

“Anti-gay language has no place in sports, or music. If you can play, you can play.”

    I liked Same Love from the start too! I think it’s awesome that they took
    this project on.

    I like this guy. He has already made a change, Same Love was top of the charts in Australia for weeks. That has never happened to a song that speaks about marriage equality and anti-homophobia. This project suits with their views of the world. They are making real change in the world.
