People, Brendon Ayanbadejo is at it again, and that’s something to celebrate! After the Baltimore Ravens’ win over the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game last week, Ayanbadejo turned his mind to another passion, politics and LGBT equality.
After the win and heading back to Baltimore, Ayanbadejo typed out an email to two marriage equality advocates, Brian Ellner with whom he had worked before, and Michael Skolnik, political director for Russell Simmons (not to be confused with Richard Simmons).
Ayanbadejo wrote: “Is there anything I can do for marriage equality or anti- bullying over the next couple of weeks to harness this Super Bowl media?” He sent it just before 4am Eastern time.
So what will we see from Brendon Ayanbadejo before the Bowl? It’s a question I’m eagerly awaiting an answer to.
For a little background, Ayanbadejo has been a supporter of same-sex marriage for some time now, and was named “Honorary Gay of the Year” by GQ along with Vikings punter Chris Kluwe.
I’m not sure what he has in store for us, but I know who I’m supporting in the Super Bowl this year!
