Today (Monday 1-9-2012) the leader of the world’s 1.3 billion Catholics told the diplomatic corps who represent the world’s governments at the Vatican that gay marriage was a threat to the future of humanity.

Couched in vague platitudes, the Pope said of “traditional” marriage “this is not a simple social convention, but rather the fundamental cell of every society. Consequently, policies which undermine the family threaten human dignity and the future of humanity itself.”

So pay attention, world leaders.  If your country approves marriage equality, you’ll destroy humanity.  So says the man who has never been married, is theoretically a virgin, and wears a dress and Prada shoes.  He has a clear view on marriage and all that it means.
