The Conservative Double Standard on Terrorism
Ever since the murderous rampage in Norway last week, Bill O’Reilly and other American conservatives have sought to insist that the alleged Norwegian terrorist Anders Breivik is not a Christian. “Breivik is not a Christian,” O’Reilly said on his Fox News show on Tuesday. “That’s impossible. No one believing in Jesus commits mass murder.” Elsewhere on the channel, Fox contributor Ralph Peters argued that “[Breivik] defines himself as a Christian, but you know, anybody can claim anything.” And conservative Christian activist Jordan Sekulow wrote at the Washington Post that “to label Breivik a ‘Christian’ requires a depraved understanding of what it means to be a Christian.”

Ever wonder why dolphins always appear to be smiling?
From the BBC’s H2G2 site, in an article about sexual practices in the animal world:
In most mammal species, humans included, the normal course of affairs involves sex between males and females, with regular changes of partner. Monogamy is rare in the mammal world. Birds, on the other hand are much more monogamous – many bird couples will stay together for life. If there is an imbalance between the number of males and females, there will be many of one sex left over, forcing these into homosexual relationships. Such relationships are common in the bird world. Black swans in Australia have been known to form male-male pairs, who will then steal eggs from females and raise them as their own. Penguins also form male-male couples, while among seagulls, lesbianism is common.
Homosexuality isn’t confined to birds, though. Dolphins are one mammal who have a thriving gay community. Male dolphins practise anal intercourse, and even fellatio using their blowholes.
So now I’m wondering what Flipper was really saying when he was chirping at Sandy and Bud!
Miami’s Catholic Leaders Accused of Underground Gay Sex Mafia
One of Florida’s most powerful Catholic leaders is being accused of running the Miami Archdiocese like a gay sexual mafia boss. Gawker reports that a group of Catholics from South Florida calling their organization Christifidelis had launched a major investigation into the activities of Archbishop Emeritus John C. Favalora. In a report from Christifidelis called “Miami Vice,” the group found that Favalora was part owner of a company that manufactured an aphrodisiac drink and took trips to Key West with “gay associates.”

Zombie “Kill The Gays” Bill Back From The Dead
Warren Throckmorton is reporting that the Ugandan Parliament may again take up the infamous “Kill The Gays” bill, possibly in August.
After time ran out to vote on the “Anti-Homosexuality” bill in the 8th Parliament last year, Ugandan MP Hon. Otto Odonga has told Throckmorton that this proposal, and others not acted upon, will be fast-tracked in the 9th Parliament.
American Evangelicals can be proud of the tenacity of those they have infected with their particular brand of hatred. The Ugandan Christians have been steadfast in their dedication to eradicate homosexuality at all costs. Even murder. Praise Jesus.
It Gets Better from the Massachusetts Congressional Delegation, except Scott Brown
Look at all of these Republicans, doing the right thing. Warms my cold liberal heart, I have to say.
The Massachusetts Congressional Delegation all came together to make an It Gets Better video, but you may have noticed there is one particular member missing, Scott Brown. The reason? Because “His main focus is creating jobs” and because the project was started by Dan Savage, “It’s reprehensible for Senator Brown’s opponents to associate with this person in order to score cheap political points.”
This doesn’t look too good for you Scott brown, just saying.
Prop 8: Save the Date September 6th, 2011
The many cases around Prop 8 have a new date. On September 6th, 2011 the California Supreme Court will hear arguments on whether or not the proponents of a ballot initiative are eligible to defend that initiative in court. Continue reading
Sizzler sued by Queens lesbian for homophobic attack
Liza Friedlander filed a lawsuit against Sizzler after the manager violently attacked her while Friendlander was just trying to grab a bite to eat with some friends. After the manager yelled at her calling her a “fucking dyke” other patrons found out it was “okay” to join in the hatred fun and started yelling their own homophobic slurs. one patron yelled “he-she freak” and another threatened to show her “what a dick is”.

Liza Friedllander says the manager accused her of not paying for the buffet during brunch with friends at the Forest Hills Sizzler on Sept. 18, 2010, according to a discrimination lawsuit filed in Queens Supreme Court.
